About the event

In contrast to, or, rather, in harmony with the Stillness in Movement workshop on the previous evening, we have Movement in Stillness. Master Tan will lead us on a physically motionless journey within ourselves in which our consciousness and energy travels inwardly. Master Tan teaches the idea that although our bodies are motionless, we are able to move, to check in with our body and mind.

You will learn more about the potential for meditation we all have within ourselves and how to acknowledge your body through meditation.

This workshop can be taken on its own, but we see in as being very much connected to our first workshop, Stillness in Movement (Day 1).

About Master Tan, a Traditional Thai Massage healer and teacher:

Tan is a traditional Thai massage healer and teacher based in Germany, with many years of experience, and he wishes to share his compassion in Thai massage and Buddhist practice. He has taught various aspects of Thai massage healing and mindfulness and meditation in many countries in Europe. He travelled to Lochwinnoch in 2022 to deliver sold-out mediation workshops as part of last year's Feel Good Festival. All workshops were organised in partnerhsip with Moonie, Thamma Thai Wellness, Lochwinnoch. Tan and his Team entered the World Massage Championship 2023 - International Massage Association where Tan won first place across the multipdisciplne competition, with many of his pupils also scooping up prizes and places in various categories.

Some feedback from last year's Mindfulness of the Body workshop

“I found it to be of great interest and at times quite emotional. The relationship between our minds and body is extraordinary. The example shown by Tan where we were outside sitting feeling very cold and within a short space of time, directed by Tan the coldness just seemed to dissipate’’

“I found the whole experience to be fun, educational and beneficial to my journey of personal development and I now have a better understanding of how to regulate my body temperature using the power of the mind as well as having the experience of walking barefoot (mindfulness walking meditation) which also helps us to toughen the spirit, This was something I had done before, but had almost forgotten, So it was a good reminder for me to practice more and I have learned some new skills.”

Freeform workshop type: The workshop has been adapted to suit individual needs. Whether you are a novice or an expert, the workshop is also designed to suit all levels.
